Tokens are the foundational design values of the Persona Design System (PDS). They capture reusable decisions—like color, spacing, and typography—that bring consistency across every component and experience. Rather than hard-coding values, PDS components reference tokens. This makes them easier to maintain, scale, and ensure they always stay aligned with the system. When a token changes, every component that relies on it updates automatically.

Use tokens whenever you modify PDS components, create custom components, or build product-specific features. They’re the thread that ties the system together, ensuring consistency, flexibility, and scalability at every level of our product.
